Terms of use

AttractCars is provided by Attractor Oy (business ID 3592322-7), Haukilahdenkatu 1 A 89, 02200 Espoo, Finland, a company entered in the Finnish Trade Register. By using the site you accept these terms. They are meant to be read, so they are short.

What the service is

AttractCars is a search index for vehicle listings published elsewhere and a host for adverts submitted directly by sellers. We are not a dealer, broker or agent. We do not sell vehicles, hold stock, take payment, arrange financing, transport or insurance, or participate in any transaction. When you click a dealer search result you leave for the seller’s own website, and everything from that point is between you and them.

Your own car adverts

You may advertise a vehicle you own or are authorised to sell. Provide accurate, current details and the actual asking price in the selected currency. Upload only photos you have the right to publish. Do not post parts, toys, copied adverts, deceptive prices, unlawful content or someone else's private information.

Publishing makes the advert and your verified contact email public; a phone number is optional. You grant us permission to store, resize and display your submitted photos and advert for this purpose. You can withdraw publication, mark the car sold or delete the advert. Adverts expire after 30 days unless renewed. We may remove abusive or misleading submissions.

Seller-provided adverts are labelled and are not a claim that we inspected the vehicle or verified the seller's statements. Buyers and sellers must verify identity, ownership, condition and payment arrangements directly. AttractCars does not process payments or provide escrow.

What we do not promise

We work hard on accuracy and freshness, and we publish exactly how we measure both. What we cannot promise is:

• Completeness. No index of the open web is complete, and sites are entitled to keep us out.
• Availability of any listing. We re-check on a schedule and remove what has gone, but a car can sell between our last check and your click.
• Accuracy of a seller’s claims. The facts we show are extracted from what the seller published. If their page is wrong, our copy of it is wrong. Verify anything that matters with the seller before you act on it.
• Uninterrupted service. It is a website.

Price comparisons state a position within a stated comparison set and are not valuations, not offers, and not advice. They describe listings we can see, which is not the same as the market.

To the extent the law permits, the service is provided as-is and we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Listing content

Listing data belongs to the sellers who published it. For crawled listings we show factual details and link back; we do not republish descriptions, and we do not copy images to our own storage unless the source’s policy permits it.

Where a seller’s own photograph cannot be shown, a result may show an example photograph of the same model, marked “Example photo”. It is not the car for sale; its colour, trim and condition are on the seller’s page. Who took each one is on the image credits page.

“Price lowered on …” on a result means we saw its price fall that day, within the last 30 days, below the lowest price we saw in the 30 days before; that lowest price is shown with it. We say it only of a car we had been watching for all of those 30 days, and it is our observation, not the seller’s announcement of a discount.

How results are ordered

Your filters decide which listings appear. If you choose an order, such as cheapest first, lowest odometer reading or newest, that order applies. Otherwise results are ordered by these parameters, most important first:

1. how well the listing matches the words you searched for;
2. whether it has a working photograph of the car;
3. how complete its details are: how many of the facts a buyer looks for, such as price, odometer reading, year, fuel and gearbox, we could read from its page;
4. a newer model year;
5. how recently we found it.

In that default order a page is also kept varied: it shows at most 3 cars from one seller, at most 2 of one make and model, and one of a seller’s make and model, while there are other matching cars to show. When we last checked a car does not decide its place; every card says when that was.

When we can establish that two listings describe the same car, we show it once, normally through the listing that offers it at the lowest price including VAT. A price a seller states without VAT is labelled “excl. VAT”, is shown for a car only when no listing of it states a price including VAT, and is not compared with other cars’ prices. No seller can pay to be placed higher, and none does: AttractCars carries no paid placement and no advertising.

Authorities, users and rights holders can reach us at info@attractor.fi, in English or Finnish. This is our single point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Articles 11 and 12).

To tell us about content you believe is illegal, email the exact address of the page on AttractCars, why you consider it illegal, your name and email address, and a statement that your notice is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. We confirm receipt, decide within five working days and tell you what we did and why.

Using the site

Search it, share links to it, and use what you find. Please do not attempt to disrupt the service, defeat its rate limits, or systematically re-extract the index in bulk. If you want programmatic access, ask us rather than scraping — we would rather have the conversation.

We may change or discontinue any part of the service, and may update these terms; the current version is always the one on this page.

Law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
