Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to search for a car on AttractCars, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. This statement says how accessible the site is, how we check it, and what we know is not yet right. It covers attractcars.com, which Attractor Oy runs.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Our automated checks find no failures on the pages they cover, but automated checks find only some kinds of problem, and nobody has yet audited the site by hand or tested it with people who use assistive technology every day. So we do not claim full conformance: the site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA.
How we check it
- Every change is tested before release with an automated audit against WCAG 2.2 levels A and AA, on the home page, the search pages, the saved cars and the written pages, with the suggestions and the filters open and with a filter that cannot be applied, on a desktop and on a phone, in light and dark mode.
- What an automated audit cannot judge is tested by using the page: a whole search made, narrowed and opened with the keyboard alone; every stop of the keyboard shown with a visible focus ring and never hidden behind the page’s sticky header or buttons; a filter’s effect announced to a screen reader without moving focus; every slider also offered as a field to type in, so nothing needs a drag; help in the same place on every page; and the page still usable at 320 pixels wide and with text spaced out as far as WCAG asks.
- The search is tested on a slow phone over a slow mobile connection, and with the page’s scripts failing to arrive, when it must still search, filter and page through results.
- Text and controls are checked for colour contrast, and each release must score at least 95 in Lighthouse’s accessibility audit.
- Zoom is never blocked; every page starts with a link that skips to its content; focus is always visible; tap targets are at least 44 pixels tall on a touch screen; animation and transitions stop when your device asks for reduced motion; and every page states its language.
- On a result, what the price is compared with and every price we saw for the car open from a button, by touch, mouse or keyboard, rather than from a tooltip only a mouse can show; the price history is also given as a table.
What we know is missing
- The written pages are in English only: this page, how the site works, and the coverage, crawler, privacy, terms and security pages. The search itself is in nine languages.
- Sellers’ pages are not ours. Each result opens the seller’s own advert, and how accessible that page is depends on the seller.
- Photographs are not described. They come from the sellers, who describe them rarely and inconsistently, so on a result the photograph is marked decorative and the car’s name beside it says what it is. An example photograph of the model, shown when the seller’s cannot be, says so in text.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on AttractCars is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us at info@attractor.fi, with the address of the page and what went wrong. We read every message, and fix the barrier where we can rather than only the page you found it on.
About this statement
AttractCars concludes no contract with its visitors, so the European Accessibility Act does not require this statement; we publish it because we want to be held to it. It was prepared on 6 October 2026 by our own assessment, and we review it when the site changes. What we keep about visitors, and for how long, is on the privacy page.
